Club Governance

TSCUK is managed by an elected volunteer committee responsible for the organisation, development, and day-to-day running of the club. The committee ensures the club operates effectively and continues to meet its aims of supporting transplant swimmers across the UK.

Key roles within the club include:

• Chair

• Secretary

• Treasurer

• Additional committee members as required

The committee works collaboratively to support members, coordinate competition entries, and represent the club within the wider swimming community.

The club holds regular committee meetings throughout the year to manage ongoing activity and planning.

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held each year, providing members with the opportunity to:

• Review the club’s activities and progress

• Raise questions or suggestions

• Vote on committee appointments

• Help shape the future direction of TSUK

Although members train independently or with their own local masters clubs, the AGM ensures everyone has a voice in how the club is run.

TSCUK operates under a formal Club Constitution which defines:

• The purpose and aims of the club

• Membership eligibility and responsibilities

• Committee structure and governance procedures

• Meeting requirements and decision-making processes

The constitution ensures the club remains transparent, fair, and aligned with its core mission of supporting transplant swimmers and promoting organ donation.

As a Swim England licensed club, TSUK follows all relevant national policies and guidance to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for its members. This includes:

• Safeguarding and welfare standards

• Codes of conduct for members and committee

• Equality, diversity, and inclusion principles

• Data protection (GDPR) compliance

The club is committed to ensuring all members feel supported, respected, and safe whether competing or representing TSUK at events.

Transplant Swimming Masters Club UK is licensed under the Swim England Club Code 'TPSE'.

Being a Swim England licensed club means TSUK operates in line with nationally recognised governance and safeguarding standards for competitive swimming. This ensures:

• Safe and well-governed participation in competitions

• Recognition at licensed events across the UK

• Alignment with best practice in club management and athlete welfare
