The Transplant Swimming Masters Club UK is committed to ensuring that all members are part of a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. As a masters swimming club, our members are adults who typically train independently or with their own local clubs and come together at competitions and events to represent TSUK. Even within this setting, we recognise the importance of welfare and wellbeing, and we want every member to feel comfortable, valued, and able to raise any concerns if they arise.
The club’s Welfare Officer is Louise McLellan, who plays a key role in supporting members and overseeing welfare matters within the club. Louise is available as a first point of contact for anyone who may need advice, support, or guidance in relation to their wellbeing or any aspect of club activity. Her role is to listen, provide support where appropriate, and ensure that concerns are handled in the correct way.
Any matters raised with the Welfare Officer will be treated with care, sensitivity, and confidentiality. Information will only be shared when absolutely necessary and always in line with safeguarding requirements and the relevant Swim England guidance, particularly where there may be a concern about safety or risk of harm. Members can be assured that discussions will be handled professionally and with respect.
Members are encouraged to contact the Welfare Officer if they have any concerns about their own wellbeing or that of another member, or if they experience or witness behaviour that makes them feel uncomfortable. Support is available whether concerns are informal or more serious in nature, and all issues will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately.
As a Swim England licensed club affiliated with Swim England, TSUK follows national safeguarding and welfare standards to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
